The Impact of the TIF
Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) is a development tool that communities have been able to use to help pay for infrastructure improvements that encourage development for 40 years in Wisconsin. Local governments have increased use of the TIF in the last 20 years. We talk to the lead author of a report done by UW-La Crosse and UW Extension that measures the impact of TIF in the Greater La Crosse area.
