The Sierra Leone Refugee All Star band was formed by a group of refugees displaced to Guinea during the Sierra Leone Civil War.
Defying the odds survival in the midst of a horrifying conflict that displaced millions, the band, formed in a West African refugee camp, has become, despite sweeping destruction in the 1990’s, a living symbol of what the human spirit can achieve even in the pathway of inhumane hardship.
