April 2, 2015: Proposed Budget Cuts to UW Schools

This Thursday, April 2nd at 10 am, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 looks at the proposed budget cuts facing the two year and four year UW schools in North Central Wisconsin. Host Glen Moberg will moderate a discussion with UW-Marathon County Dean Keith Montgomery and UW-Marshfield/ Wood County Dean Patricia Stuhr. The program will also feature UW-Stevens Point Chancellor Bernie Patterson; Christine Thomas, Dean of the UW-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources; and Cathy Sandeen, Chancellor of UW Colleges and UW-Extension. Governor Walker’s budget calls for $300 million dollars in cuts to the UW System. UW-Stevens Point is also affected by cuts to a number of segregated programs.
