We will discuss Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. Day and preview a central Wisconsin celebration of Dr. King and his life. Guests will include William “Bill” Fulton, the keynote speaker for a community celebration scheduled for Monday, January 18th at the Stevens Point Senior High School Auditorium. Fulton is an Ohio based attorney who knew Dr. King as a teenager, and worked with him in the civil rights movement. He will be joined on the program by UWSP Professor Emeritus of History Paul Mertz, whose work focuses on the civil rights era. The community celebration in Stevens Point is hosted by Justiceworks Ltd., a nonprofit justice advocacy organization based in Portage County.
