This week, Route 51 discusses “The Real Happy Hour,” an initiative in central Wisconsin to encourage families to share food and eat meals together as a way of fostering family stability and togetherness. Guests will be: Aaron Ruff, public health educator with the Marathon County Health Department; Melissa Beck, community development coordinator with the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes; and Linda Koepke, program director with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northcentral Wisconsin. The show will stress that families should sit down together regularly to share meals, and not just on special occasions like Thanksgiving.
