On this week’s show, we’ll examine Wisconsin’s large carnivore population with David MacFarland, large carnivore specialist for the DNR. MacFarland will talk about the status of the state’s second annual wolf hunt, a bear population which is expanding in both numbers and territory, and the still infrequent but increasing number of sightings of cougars or mountain lions. The program will also touch on other large carnivores that live in Wisconsin’s woods and prairies.
