Thursday, August 2 at 10 a.m., Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Route 51” features a live in-studio debate between the two Democratic Party candidates for congress in the 7th Congressional District, Margaret Engebretson and Brian Ewert. The winner in the August 14 primary election will face incumbent Republican Sean Duffy in the November 6 general election. The debate will be moderated by Glen Moberg, host of “Route 51”, and Danielle Kaeding, host of “Hear Me Out”, Wisconsin Public Radio’s regional talk show based in Superior. Engebretson is a 24-year veteran of the U.S. military and a Polk County attorney who focuses her time on Guardian ad Litem work. Ewert is a physician and former president and CEO of the Marshfield Clinic. Duffy is campaigning for his fifth term as congressman representing the 7th District, which covers much of north central and north western Wisconsin.
