On June 14 at 10 a.m. Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 previews The Energy Fair, hosted by Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) this weekend, with keynote speaker Michael Perry, a New York Times bestselling author, humorist, playwright, singer-songwriter, radio show host and self-described “intermittent pig farmer.” Perry will speak Sunday, June 17 at 1 p.m. at The Energy Fair, which gets underway Friday, June 15 in Custer, east of Stevens Point. Host Glen Moberg will also interview Nick Hylla, Executive Director of the Midwest Renewable Energy Association, about the exhibits, workshops and other keynote speakers at this year’s fair. Michael Perry’s bestselling memoirs includePopulation 485, Truck: A Love Story, Coop, Visiting Tom, and his latest, Montaigne in Barn Boots: An Amateur Ambles Through Philosophy. Perry also hosts Tent Show Radio, which is heard on Wisconsin Public Radio’s Ideas Network Saturdays at 7 p.m.
