This Thursday, September 11th at 10 am, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 looks at the Marshfield Civility Project, a regional effort to combat the poisonous partisan rancor that infects our contemporary political discourse. On September 17, in a rare show of bipartisanship, the Republican Party of Wood County and the Wood County Democratic Party are co-sponsoring a forum on civility in politics at UW-Marshfield/Wood County in the Helen Connor Laird Fine Arts Building. Guests include: Chris Jockheck, former Chair of the Wood County Democratic Party and Marshfield City Council Alderman; Dan Wald, Chair of the Republican Party of Wood County; and Eric Giordano, Director of the Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service, which is also sponsoring the event. The Marshfield Civility Project is funded by the Marshfield Community Foundation.
