On Thursday, September 24th at 10 am, former Portage County Sheriff Dan Hintz appears in a rebroadcast of Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 in which he discusses his recent book, In Pursuit of Justice, Memoirs of a Small Town Sheriff.
Host Glen Moberg asks Hintz about the many challenges he faced during his 19 years in law enforcement, including his encounters with the Posse Comitatus, described by the FBI as a “domestic terrorism” group espousing white “racial supremacy.”
The program also focuses on the impact of alcohol and drugs at central Wisconsin crime scenes, and the sometimes strained relationship between police and the public.
