The economy has been tough on regional airports across the country. Delta Air Lines recently announced it could no longer afford to service 24 small airports in the Midwest and South. On the other hand, Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee is getting a $3 million upgrade this fall. This week on “Route 51,” guest host Bill Martens, filling in for Glen Moberg, and guests, CWA Manager Tony Yaron and Wausau Downtown Airport Manager John Chmiel, will talk about the challenges regional airports are facing and the opportunities that lie ahead.
