The seat in Wisconsin’s 74th Assembly District is up for grabs with the retirement of Democratic incumbent Beth Myers, who was first elected to the office in 2014. Vying to replace her are Republican Chanz Green of Grand View, a small business owner and former utility manager for the city of Ashland, and Democrat John Adams, a vegetable grower and distributor and former member of the Washburn town board. The two face off in a debate recorded earlier this week and moderated by “Simply Superior” host Robin Washington, focusing on statewide issues and local concerns.

Also, WPR News reporter Danielle Kaeding speaks with Becky Valcq, chairperson of the Wisconsin Public Service Commission, about broadband in rural areas and the regional effects of the recently passed federal Inflation Reduction Act.
