In November 2022, voters in greater Superior flipped the longtime Democratic-held 73rd Assembly seat to Republican with the election of Angie Sapik of Lake Nebagamon. Sapik joins WPR’s Kate Archer Kent to talk about her first year in office, discussing issues including taxes, habitat management and gender ahead of the 2024 legislative season.

Also, Ian Alexy is a Superior-based singer songwriter who performs solo and with seemingly every regional band, including the duo with his brother Teague (last week’s musical guest) as the Hobo Nephews Of Uncle Frank. Alexy joins “Simply Superior” host Robin Washington to share his solo and group work. He appears every Wednesday this month with the band Babie Eyes at Earth Rider Brewery in Superior, and as a solo act on Thursdays at Superior’s Thirsty Pagan.
