It’s a sure bet this weekend will be one of the best for catching some of the most spectacular displays that nature has to offer anywhere, right in our backyards, with the colors continuing through October. “Simply Superior” host Robin Washington joins Mary Motiff of Bayfield County Tourism and Nina Simonowicz of northshorevisitor.com to learn their favorite spots for leaf viewing on both the South and North Shores of Lake Superior.
Also, back in the ’80s and ’90s, Martin Zellar was the lead singer of the Minnesota band Gear Daddies, most famous for their ice-breaking hit “Zamboni” which became a National Hockey League intermission standard. After an 11-year hiatus, he’s comfortably ensconced in Mexico and back in the studio with a solo album that he’s dropping with a performance at Duluth’s Sacred Heart Music Center on Oct.7.
