When Superior Business Improvement District Executive Director Kelly Peterson scheduled a workshop for women entrepreneurs, she thought 10 might show up. Instead, 30-plus attendees crowded the business assistance center space at Superior’s historic old post office. The ongoing sessions address barriers particularly affecting women who start businesses, as well as success stories to learn from — including that of Superior Waffles co-owner Natalie Harris. The pair join “Simply Superior” host Robin Washington to discuss how women entrepreneurs can succeed at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3.

Also, Heatbox is a talented rapper, singer and beatbox artist whose songs are highly listenable — and re-listenable after you hear his hilarious lyrics and ask yourself “What did he just say?” He shares selections from his latest album, “Hilarious & Epically Legendary,” with Washington ahead of his May 9 performance at the West Theatre in Duluth.
