Twin Ports Jewish, Muslim Congregations Join Hands After Attack In Israel, And John Waters Visits Duluth

In the wake of the horrific attack by Hamas in Israel on Oct. 7, the Twin Ports Muslim and Jewish communities are offering support to one another — and helping hands holding paint brushes. On Sunday, members of Duluth’s Temple Israel joined congregants at the Islamic Center of Twin Ports (ICTP) to paint over graffiti at the Muslim house of worship. The paintover follows a message of condolences from the ICTP shared at a special service at Temple Israel following the attack in Israel. John Dahl of ICTP and Debbie Freedman of Temple Israel join “Simply Superior” host Robin Washington on Friday at 10 a.m. to discuss their joint activities and the longstanding friendship between the two congregations
