A football team in northeastern Wisconsin is undefeated so far this season. The players wear green and gold, and their cheerleaders perform at Lambeau field — but it’s not the Green Bay Packers.
St. Norbert College’s Green Knights have a lot of similarities to the Packers, with the major exception that the players don’t get paid.
“We wear the same colors, obviously. Our St. Norbert cheerleaders cheer for the Packers at their home games,” said head coach Dan McCarty (whose last name is just one a letter away from Mike McCarthy’s).

Both teams are 6-0 on the season. The Division III Green Knights play Beloit college this weekend. McCarty said the regional championship is next month.
“We’re in a pretty good position to clinch the north, but obviously we’ve got to win some games here these next several weeks to make sure that happens,” he said.
If the Knights win this weekend, they’ll one-up the Packers, who are on a bye week.
