Do you remember our voting round on what WHYsconsin story we should dive into next? You voted, we listened. Now we’re looking into why Wisconsin’s county highways are labeled with letters instead of numbers.
But before we can provide you with the answer, we want to hear from you.
Wisconsin has tons of county highways, if you’re someone who lives or travels on these highways, let us know. We want to get as many voices as possible. Tell us your name, the name of the county highway you frequent and a little tid bit about what it means to you. Why do you think it has the name it has? Is it flanked with businesses, farms, nature? What do you normally see, hear or smell on this road? Do you have a favorite memory on a county highway?
