Vetoed or not, Wisconsin's gender-affirming care bill will have consequences
A Republican-sponsored bill that would ban providing certain types of gender-affirming medical care to minors will soon come across the desk of Governor Tony Evers for approval. Although Evers has pledged to veto the bill, its existence sends a message to transgender youth and their families.
