People in Wisconsin can expect a few rounds of snow this weekend, with 1 to 2 inches starting to fall on Friday night.
Sarah Marquardt, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said northern Wisconsin will see an additional 1 to 2 inches of snow on Sunday; southern Wisconsin residents can expect 2 to 3 inches.
“After that, we’re expecting very cold temperatures across the state Monday and Tuesday and with those cold temperatures, wind chills are going to be an issue,” said Marquardt.

Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday are forecasted to be between minus 35 to minus 45 degrees with wind chill across northern Wisconsin.
Marquardt said there will be some relief after Tuesday, with temperatures briefly rising to the mid-teens to 20s by the end of next week before more cold sets in.
Marquardt said the cold projected for next week is similar to weather at the beginning of January when wind chills hit minus 40 degrees and below. She said people can protect themselves from the extreme cold by limiting their time outdoors, and keeping their skin covered.
