An EF-1 tornado touched down in an area just northeast of Oregon in Dane County on Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.
It was part of a storm system that also included a tornado in Iowa County, as well as heavy rain, strong winds and lightning across southern Wisconsin.
NWS officials said the tornado near Oregon was on the ground for a little more than a mile. It uprooted trees and blew parts of the roofs off several barns.

EF-1 tornadoes are classified as storms with winds of 86 to 110 mph.
NWS officials are still reviewing the damage from Sunday night’s tornado in Iowa County. That storm covered an area north of Fennimore, Dodgeville and Blue Mound State Park.
According to the NWS website, the EF Scale, or the Enhanced Fujita Scale, is “used to assign a tornado a “rating” based on estimated wind speeds and related damage.” The scale runs from 1 to 5, with an EF-5 tornado being the most damaging.
