There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 among inmates or staff at state corrections facilities in Wisconsin, but Corrections Secretary Kevin Carr says all visits to facilities are being strictly limited to professional visits only.
“That would be lawyers, social workers or people who have an absolute need to visit one of our adults in custody,” Carr told WPR’s “The Morning Show” on Monday.
He also said those visits will be on a “non-contact basis.”

The DOC is currently working with their telephone provider to increase the number of free phone calls inmates can make while family is not allowed to visit. Carr said he anticipates that arrangement to be in place in the next few days.
Updates from the DOC regarding COVID-19 and the agency’s response are on their website, Carr said.
