Women learn outdoors skills together at Wisconsin workshops
Outdoor activities like hunting and fishing have long been dominated by men, but a Wisconsin program provides opportunities for women to get started—with the help of other women. Becoming an Outdoors Woman workshops started at UW-Stevens Point in 1991, and they have since spread to 35 U.S. states and 6 Canadian provinces. We talk to the director of the international BOW program and coordinator of workshops held in Wisconsin about what the program offers and how to get involved.
